Since its first flight in August 1984, Discovery has completed 39 successful missions and has made more flights than any other orbiter in Nasa's fleet. Growing up on the Space Coast, Nasa was in our backyard. We live close enough to the launch zone the ground would shake when standing on the beach right as the rockets launched. The windows and glass doors would clatter from the sonic booms. The Cape frames are our tribute to the lucky few that have made the trip to orbit and all the men and women a part of the space program.
